County Police/Mount Kisco

Apr. 1: A 34-year-old Elmsford man was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop at 3:56 a.m. at Route 133 and the Saw Mill River Parkway. The driver was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending an Apr. 13 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court. The man’s two passengers had also been drinking so the vehicle was impounded in the absence of a sober driver to take possession of it.

Apr. 3: Officers responded to Carpenter Avenue at 11:58 p.m. on a report of vandalism to the front entrance of an apartment building. A resident reported that he heard a loud noise, left his apartment to investigate and discovered that someone had thrown a large rock through the glass front door. He did not witness the incident and no description of the vandal could be obtained.

Apr. 3: Report of a possible domestic dispute occurring between two parties in a parked car on North Bedford Road at 5:14 p.m. The dispute was verbal in nature only and no other police action was necessary.

Apr. 4: Police responded to a restaurant on East Main Street at 10:27 p.m. after staff received an anonymous threatening phone call. The employees reported that a customer had become irate earlier in the evening when he was refused alcohol and believe the two incidents might be related.

Apr. 4: Report of two small motorcycles stolen from a shed on the complainant’s Smith Street property. The two dirt bikes have an estimated value of $5,600. The case was turned over to detectives for investigation.

Apr. 6: Officers responded to a Gregory Avenue residence at 4:49 a.m. to assist a man who recently had surgery and was feeling weak and was unable to walk. Westchester EMS and the Armonk Fire Department ambulance also responded and the man was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Croton-on-Hudson Police Department

Mar. 28: Patrols conducted a traffic stop on southbound Route 9 at 12:48 p.m. Subsequent to the stop, the driver, a 23-year-old Yonkers man, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The defendant was processed at the scene and released on his own recognizance.

Mar. 28: A caller reported at 8:12 p.m. that his neighbor at Half Moon Bay was blasting a white noise machine. Patrols responded and advised the neighbor to turn the machine down. About two hours later, a second call was received about the machine being loud again. Patrols responded and measured the noise with a decibel meter. The neighbor, a 78-year-old woman, was issued a summons for a village noise ordinance violation.

Mar. 31: Report of a male subject attempting to break into a brown Honda on South Riverside Avenue at 12:44 a.m. Patrols responded and interviewed the involved parties. After an investigation, it was determined that no crime was committed. The male attempted to enter the wrong vehicle due to intoxication. Patrols mediated the situation.

New Castle Police Department

Mar. 31: An Ossining man came to New Castle Town Court for a probation hearing. During the hearing, officers discovered the man had an active warrant out of Mount Pleasant Justice Court from the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) police. After the hearing, officers temporarily detained the man who was turned over to DEP police custody and was transported to Mount Pleasant Court.

Apr. 4: At about 4:30 p.m., the department received a telephone call about illegal dumping taking place off of Old Roaring Brook Road. An officer responded and confirmed the illegal dumping. A local summons was issued to the man conducting the illegal dumping. He is due to appear in New Castle Town Court in May.

North Castle Police Department

Apr. 2: A Jenny Clarkson employee requested assistance at 7:42 p.m. with students that absconded from the facility on Old Orchard Street. The responding officer spoke with staff members who reported that they located both students and brought them back without incident. Officers followed the staff with the students back to the school. Matter adjusted.

Apr. 3: A caller reported that while driving past Lombardi Park on Cox Avenue at 7:06 a.m. she noticed what appeared to be a homeless person sleeping near the front baseball field. She stated that there were blankets and bags with the individual. The responding officers provided a courtesy transport for the individual to the North White Plains train station.

Apr. 3: Report of illegal dumping on Wrights Mill Road at 8:11 a.m. A complainant stated that when his son went to the gym earlier this morning, he noticed that tile debris had been dumped on his front lawn. He would like to file a police report. Photos were secured by the responding officers and the town’s highway department was notified for cleanup.

Apr. 4: Report of a stolen golf cart at Breezemont Day Camp on Cox Avenue at 9:32 p.m. The complainant stated he has video footage of the theft. The responding officers spoke with the complainant at the scene. A witness and owner’s depositions were secured; a report will follow.

Pleasantville Police Department

Apr. 2: Report of a disturbance at Chatterbox Restaurant & Bar on Cooley Street at 4:05 p.m. Three patrons that were part of a five-party group left the restaurant after one member of the group was intoxicated. They reported hearing a woman at an adjacent table using a racial slur against them while commenting about the intoxicated patron. Police were called and the woman said she did not use a slur. Officers ascertained the patrons paid their bill and there was no damage in the restaurant. The group of five left the premises.

Apr 4: The superintendent of the 70 Memorial Plaza construction site reported observing graffiti on the first level of the interior at 7:33 a.m.

Apr. 8: Report of a stolen vehicle on Foxwood Drive at 10:48 a.m. It was learned the car was repossessed and was not stolen.
