County Police/Mount Kisco 

Dec. 16: A 46-year-old White Plains man was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop at 4:07 a.m. on East Main Street near South Bedford Road. The man was taken into custody after he failed a field sobriety test. He was booked at the Green Street precinct.

Dec. 16: Officers responded to a bar on Main Street at 4:45 a.m. on a report that an assault had occurred outside. A security guard told officers that three men who had been smoking marijuana outside attacked him after an argument occurred. The security guard was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital to be treated for facial injuries. The case was turned over to detectives for additional investigation.

Dec. 20: Report of a shoplifter detained by security at Target on North Bedford Road at 10:06 a.m. An officer responded and took a 32-year-old New Castle woman into custody. She was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Target personnel alleged that she tried to leave the store without paying for $830 worth of merchandise. The woman was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a Jan. 4 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

Dec. 20: An officer responded to South Moger Avenue at 1:58 p.m. on a report that a woman had tripped over the curb and was injured. The officer provided first aid to the 71-year-old woman, who suffered abrasions to her nose and face. She declined additional medical care and left the area.

Dec. 21: A 70-year-old man who said he recently became homeless arrived at the Green Street precinct at 8:16 a.m. to seek a place to warm up. An officer brought the man inside and contacted members of the Mobile Crisis Response Team, who assisted the man in obtaining temporary housing and other services.

Dec. 21: The New York City Probation Department reported at 5:30 p.m. that they had a Manhattan woman in custody who is wanted on warrants issued in Mount Kisco Justice Court. Officers picked the woman up in Manhattan and brought her to the Westchester County Jail pending arraignment. The warrants charge the 41-year-old woman with third- and fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor.

Dec. 21: Two 29-year-old village residents were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop on East Hyatt Avenue at 10:04 p.m. They are accused of possessing several small glassine envelopes containing heroin. The driver was additionally charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Dec. 22: A 61-year-old village resident was charged at 12:16 a.m. with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing, both misdemeanors. The suspect is accused of brandishing an imitation weapon during a road rage dispute on East Main Street near South Bedford Road. Officers responded to the area after a motorist called 911 to report that a man had pointed a gun at him and then drove off. Officers located the suspect on Stewart Place and took him into custody. A toy-like imitation pistol was recovered.

Croton-on-Hudson Police Department 

Dec. 5: A 911 caller reported at 10:35 p.m. that when she arrived at her Piney Point Avenue home, someone was inside. The caller further stated that her son went into the home first and saw someone with a black-hooded sweatshirt. The caller stated she then went in after the person, yelled something and the party ran out the back door. Patrol was dispatched. The suspect was located at 4 a.m. the following morning.

Dec. 11: A Croton Point Avenue woman reported at 7:58 p.m. that her boyfriend took her clothes and was walking back to his house. Patrols were dispatched and reported that when they arrived, the woman was extremely uncooperative and slammed the door.

Dec. 15: A Bari Manor resident reported at 3:18 p.m. that six loose chickens were running around the area. Patrols were dispatched and all the chickens were returned to their home. 

New Castle Police Department

Dec. 18: Police received a report of a past larceny. A female complainant reported her wallet was removed from her shopping cart while in a local store. The suspect then proceeded to use the credit cards from the wallet at various businesses. The larceny and fraudulent charges are under investigation by detectives.

Dec. 20: Report of a recent incident of fraud. A male complainant from Chappaqua reported receiving a telephone call from an individual who claimed to work for a major tech company. The male complainant then proceeded to provide personal information on the telephone.

North Castle Police Department

Dec. 15: A man who is possibly homeless was seen with a sign and shopping cart on Main Street at 9:22 a.m. The caller stated that the man was inside the Bagel Emporium asking for coffee and making the employees feel uncomfortable, but is possibly in need of assistance. The responding officers reported making contact with the party who did not need assistance. He was made aware of town ordinances.

Dec. 15: A caller reported at 3:51 p.m. that a female black lab with a purple collar and pink leash was turned over to Adopt-A-Dog on Cox Avenue after having been found tied to a guardrail on I-684. The dog is not microchipped.

Dec. 19: A caller reported at 8:30 a.m. that she is a nurse at Northern Westchester Hospital and had a patient come in with wounds from a crossbow that he stated his son shot at him at their Jackson Road residence. She stated that the patient was concerned for the safety of his wife who was currently at home with their son who is intoxicated. The victim’s wife was contacted by police and stated that she was in the residence and concerned for her safety. She was instructed to go outside and walk to the end of the street to await police arrival. Officers responded and report detaining one party.

Dec. 20: A complainant arrived at headquarters at 5:49 p.m. to report a larceny from the locker room at Byram Hills High School.

Pleasantville Police Department

Dec. 16: Report of a verbal dispute between a mother and daughter at the 7-Eleven on Bedford Road at 12:18 a.m. Police responded and the matter was adjusted. A report was filed.

Dec. 19: A Manville Road resident reported at 7:50 a.m. that their unlocked car was ransacked but that nothing appeared to be taken.

Dec. 19: A Dennis Lane resident reported at 9:12 p.m. that his Christmas decorations were vandalized.

Dec. 21: Report of harassment on Wheeler Avenue at 12:25 p.m. Additional information was withheld because there is an ongoing investigation.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Department

Dec. 14: A 23-year-old Haledon, N.J. man was arrested in connection with a residential burglary last summer in Philipstown. Deputies responded to a Route 9D residence shortly after midnight on Aug. 3 on a burglary complaint. The tenant came home and found that a sliding glass door was broken and items were taken from the residence. After video footage revealed a suspect, a bulletin was sent out, and investigators were contacted by MTA police, who had dealt with the same individual at the Garrison train station earlier that evening. Based on DNA evidence after further investigation, a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest. On Dec. 14, investigators learned the man was scheduled to be in White Plains City Court on an unrelated matter, and he was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in Town of Philipstown Court and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

Yorktown Police Department

Dec. 18: A 25-year-old Yorktown man was arrested at 6:23 p.m. and charged with second-degree menacing, a Class A misdemeanor, after two victims reported he allegedly brandished a knife in their direction after a verbal argument.
