New Castle Police Department

Apr. 16: Police responded to a Mount Kisco residence on a report of a domestic dispute between a former boyfriend and girlfriend. Subsequent to an investigation, the female was arrested and charged with third-degree assault.

North Castle Police Department

Apr. 13: An Emmalon Avenue resident reported hearing loud music playing outside her house at 11:08 p.m. making it difficult to sleep. The responding officer reported that the situation was corrected after speaking to the party on the scene.

Apr. 15: Multiple callers reported a tree falling onto a transformer on Long Pond Road at 1:47 p.m. causing a fire. The Westchester County Department of Emergency Services responded along with Con Edison. Police closed off Long Pond Road between Valley Lane and Pond Lane. Con Edison reported that the telephone pole is down but is owned by Verizon, which was notified. The fire also caused damage to the roadway. The North Castle Highway Department was notified and made repairs to the road.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Department

Apr. 10: A 42-year-old Hyde Park man was arrested in connection with stealing funds from his employer. The suspect turned himself in to investigators on this date and was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Philipstown Justice Court. Last July, a deputy was dispatched to a Philipstown business on a report of a larceny of funds by a former employee due to unauthorized purchases on a company credit card. The investigation was turned over to the sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation. After numerous interviews and forensic analysis, it was determined that the employee had made more than $12,000 in fraudulent and unauthorized purchases on a company credit card over a two-month period early last year before being terminated. Due to prior felony convictions, the suspect was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.

White Plains

Apr. 12: A man was charged with attempted robbery at 6:39 p.m. following an incident at CVS on Mamaroneck Avenue.

Apr. 13: A 51-year-old White Plains man was charged with third-degree assault stemming from an incident on West Post Road at 11:15 a.m.

Apr. 15: A man was charged with public lewdness on Westchester Avenue at 6:19 p.m.

Apr. 18: A 17-year-old boy was charged with first-degree assault in connection with an Apr. 5 stabbing in the area of the Mobil gas station parking lot on Mamaroneck Avenue. An investigation revealed an altercation occurred between two youths, and one stabbed the other in the chest with a sharp object. The suspect was identified following interviews with several witnesses and a review of surveillance video.

Apr. 18: A White Plains man was charged with third-degree assault at 8:40 p.m. following an incident on Dennison Street.

Yorktown Police Department

Apr. 10: A 41-year-old New Jersey man was charged with petty larceny at 4:58 p.m. for stealing merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods and Macy’s at the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Apr. 14: A 36-year-old Mahopac man was charged with DWI, reckless driving and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after being observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 6 at 1:54 a.m.

Apr. 16: A 27-year-old Putnam Valley man was arrested at 12:08 a.m. and charged with third-degree assault following a domestic incident.
