County Police/Mount Kisco

Nov. 19: Officers responded to the 400 block of Lexington Avenue at 5:36 a.m. on a report of a woman banging on an apartment door. The woman told officers that she had been a guest in the residence earlier in the evening and that the occupant had stolen her phone. After additional questioning, the woman admitted that she might have misplaced her phone while traveling to Mount Kisco from Brewster.

Nov. 19: A 27-year-old Carmel man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after he was found asleep at the wheel of his car at Main Street and South Moger Avenue at 6:15 a.m. The doors to the vehicle were locked and an officer banged repeatedly on the window in an attempt to wake him. When he awakened, he put the car in drive, drove up on the sidewalk near 19 Main St. and struck a pole. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a future appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court. The vehicle was impounded.

Nov. 20: A gas station employee reported at 1:25 a.m. that a woman damaged his cell phone and he wanted to press charges. The employee said two women were being very loud in the store and he asked them to leave. One of them grabbed his phone and threw it on the ground, shattering its screen. The employee provided the name of a store manager who could access security video of the incident during daytime hours.

Nov. 20: An officer responded to a Gregory Avenue residence at 10:49 p.m. after a man called 911 to try to report a heat complaint at his apartment. The man sounded disoriented and confused during the call and said he was trying to reach a management company in New York City. The man was found in good physical health and the heat was working in his apartment. A referral was made to the Mobile Crisis Response Team to follow up with the man.

Nov. 22: Report of a dispute between an employee and a customer at an East Main Street business at 9:35 a.m. A manager told responding officers that an irate customer pushed a glass tip jar off the counter, causing it to shatter. The customer left in a white van with New Jersey plates, which was located and stopped by an officer. The occupant was advised that store management was issuing a trespass letter prohibiting him from returning to the business.

New Castle Police Department

Nov. 18: Officers responded to a Chappaqua residence on a report of a verbal domestic dispute between two brothers. Officers arrived on the scene and were able to mediate the dispute with the assistance of their mother. The incident was documented.

North Castle Police Department

Nov. 17: A Nichols Road resident reported a large bear on her front lawn at 6:30 p.m. The responding officers reported that the animal was gone prior to arrival.

Nov. 18: A passing motorist reported at 7:33 a.m. that a large tree fell on Bedford Road and snapped a wire, which is live and on fire while the tree is partially blocking half of the roadway. Con Ed was notified of the situation. One of the responding officers advised that the roadway was eventually re-opened with Con Ed flaggers on the scene to assist with traffic as the remaining crew worked on the wires.

Nov. 19: A party arrived at headquarters at 6:28 p.m. to report being issued a bad check. A witness deposition was filed.

Pleasantville Police Department

Nov. 21: A village resident reported at 9:37 a.m. that a vehicle hit and took down a no left turn sign on Grant Street.

Nov. 22: Report from a Pleasantville resident at 3:58 p.m. that they were victimized by a scam where a party gained access to one of their accounts.

Nov. 23: Report of a suspicious vehicle on Pleasantville Road at 2:18 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was involved in a minor one-car auto accident, then exited the vehicle and left the scene. The person was located a short time later and the vehicle was impounded.

White Plains Police Department

Nov. 17: A 19-year-old man was charged with second-degree menacing stemming from an incident on Martine Avenue at 9:35 a.m.

Nov. 19: A 40-year-old man was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 11:04 a.m. in connection with an incident on Greenridge Avenue.

Nov. 19: A male suspect was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 11:45 p.m. in connection with an incident at 69 N. Broadway.

Nov. 21: A 22-year-old man was charged with second-degree bail jumping at the White Plains police headquarters at 3:33 p.m.

Nov. 21: A female suspect was charged with third degree menacing at 10:29 p.m. in connection with an incident at 69 N. Broadway.

Yorktown Police Department

Nov. 21: A 51-year-old Yorktown man was charged at 4:20 p.m. with second-degree menacing, a Class A misdemeanor, after threatening a victim with a knife during a verbal altercation on Sept. 20.

Nov. 21: At 5:25 p.m., a 31-year-old Yonkers woman was charged with two counts of petty larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, Class A misdemeanors, for stealing assorted merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Nov. 25: A 39-year-old Yorktown woman was charged with DWI First Offense, an unclassified misdemeanor, and several traffic infractions following a one-car accident on Route 202 at 9:42 p.m.
