Police Blotter, March 21 – March 27, 2023, Print Edition

Mar. 11: Officers observed a vehicle traveling on Route 6 at 4:24 p.m. without an inspection sticker. After a traffic stop, an investigation revealed a Queens resident possessed a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of cocaine.

Mar. 13: At about 11:10 a.m., Officers responded to a Carmel treatment facility at 11:10 a.m. and determined a physical assault had occurred between two male patients. A Bronx man was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

County Police/Mount Kisco

Mar. 12: A 30-year-old Cortlandt woman was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop at 12:26 a.m. An officer observed the vehicle failing to maintain its lane on Kisco Avenue before pulling it over near Hotel MTK Mount Kisco. The woman was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a Mar. 23 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

Mar. 13: An officer responded to Barker Street at 4:27 p.m. on a report of a collision between a bicyclist and a motor vehicle. The car owner reported that the bicyclist rode into the side of her car, causing minor damage. Both parties advised they would resolve the matter between themselves. No further police action was needed.

Mar. 13: Officers responded to an East Main Street restaurant at 7:10 p.m. on a report that two intoxicated customers were causing a problem for staff. The two patrons left the premises as officers arrived.

Mar. 14: Report of a deceased elderly man at a Brook Street residence at 5:11 p.m. It was determined that the man had been in ill health and had apparently died of natural causes.

Mar. 15: Officers conducted a welfare check at a West Street residence at 8:06 a.m. at the request of the resident’s employer. The employer reported that the man had not shown up for work as expected and could not reached by phone. Officers spoke with the man and determined all was in order.

Croton-on-Hudson Police Department

Mar. 9: A caller reported at 9:05 p.m. seeing a coyote on her Kuney Street property. Patrols responded and observed two coyotes, both of which did not appear to be ill.

Mar.9: A Young Avenue resident reported at 11:22 a.m. that she was just punched by her friend’s son. Patrols responded and subsequently arrested a 22-year-old Croton-on-Hudson man for third-degree assault.

Mar. 10: A Hastings Avenue resident reported at 7:44 a.m. that someone entered her vehicle and rummaged through it. Patrols responded and reported that nothing was missing from the vehicle. An investigation will follow

New Castle Police Department

Mar. 11: While on patrol, a New Castle police officer observed graffiti on an electrical box near the entrance of Chappaqua Crossing. The investigation is ongoing.

Mar. 11: Police responded to a local business to meet with the manager regarding a disgruntled employee who was terminated. The employee was contacted and informed he is no longer welcome at the business.

Mar. 14: A Hardscrabble Road resident reported that a check was removed from her mailbox and was altered. The bank was able to stop the payment on the check. An investigation is ongoing.

North Castle Police Department

Mar. 10: A subject reported at headquarters at 4:21 p.m. requesting assistance in confirming news he received regarding a homicide involving a family member in Washington State. The officer was able to contact the Redmond Police Department and confirmed the incident. The party was instructed to follow up with officers from that department for further information.

Mar. 11: A complainant and a CVS employee reported at 10:43 a.m. that fraudulent prescriptions were filled at the CVS on Main Street.

Pleasantville Police Department

Mar. 14: Report of a disturbance at Foxwood Condominium at 5:38 p.m. There was a dispute between two residents, one of whom accused their neighbor of dumping snow off of a car and onto their parking space. The matter was resolved.

Mar. 17: A 32-year-old Yonkers man was charged with driving with a suspended license at 1:35 a.m. on Pleasantville Road following a traffic stop.

State Police/Cortlandt

Mar. 11: Robert J. Kristoferson, 29, of Mohegan Lake was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony, after troopers responded to a Lake Peekskill residence in Putnam Valley on a report of a stolen vehicle. A caller stated they started the vehicle before going back inside the house to grab a bag and the vehicle was gone upon their return. With assistance from Westchester County police and one of their canine units, Kristoferson and the stolen vehicle were located soon after. He was arraigned in Putnam Valley Justice Court and released to the Putnam County Sheriff’s office on an unrelated matter with an order to reappear before the court on Apr. 25.

Yorktown Police Department

Mar. 7: A 24-year-old Manhattan woman and a 21-year-old Brooklyn woman were arrested at 4:20 p.m. and charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a Class D felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, after officers were dispatched to the Jefferson Valley Mall to investigate a past larceny. During the investigation, police observed the two women driving through the mall parking lot. They fled the scene, committing numerous vehicle and traffic violations before being stopped and apprehended by Westchester County police on the Saw Mill Parkway following a brief foot pursuit. The investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen out of Boston and the two women were in possession of a quantity of oxycodone, which was located in the vehicle’s center console. Sharolanda Lewis-Major and Dasani Mack were charged in connection with stealing 64 assorted fragrances totaling $5,068 from Ulta Beauty on Mar. 6. Lewis-Major was also charged with third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony.

Mar. 13: A 17-year-old Yorktown male was charged with juvenile delinquency after being located in a Baldwin Road residence at 1:40 p.m. with multiple firearm parts, pistol components and forged documents.

Mar. 13: Dwight Walker Jr., 25, of Garrison, was arrested and charged at 5:53 p.m. with two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent person, a Class E felony, after police received a report from the administration at Shrub Oak International School on Stony Street of two students allegedly being punched by a former staff member on Feb. 5.
