County Police/Mount Kisco

Jan. 16: A village resident arrived at the Green Street precinct at 2:57 p.m. to report that she is being harassed by her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. The woman requested that her concerns be documented in a report because she plans to seek a restraining order against the other woman.

Jan. 18: An officer conducted a welfare check at a Barker Street residence at 1:45 p.m. after family members reported they were unable to reach a relative by phone for several days. The officer made contact with the resident, who advised that she had changed her phone number but neglected to let her family know.

Jan. 18: Report of a domestic dispute on Lundy Lane at 10:38 p.m. Officers determined that the dispute was verbal in nature and involved a child custody issue. Both parties were advised to resolve the matter in Family Court.

Jan. 19: Officers responded to the Northern Westchester Hospital parking garage at 1:38 p.m. on a report of a person in emotional crisis. A woman who was upset had locked herself in her car and was refusing to speak with medical personnel. Officers and staff were able to convince the woman to exit the vehicle and enter the hospital to receive care.

Jan. 19: Officers responded to a Barker Street residence about 2 p.m. on a report that a 99-year-old man was having difficulty breathing. The man was non-responsive upon arrival of police and EMS. CPR was administered but unsuccessful; the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Croton-on-Hudson Police Department

Jan. 9: A Van Wyck Street resident reported at 6:55 p.m. that she believed someone was inside her house. Patrols responded and checked the residence. It was later determined that a loud noise was caused by construction materials that fell in an interior room.

Jan. 9: A caller reported at 11:18 p.m. that someone was throwing objects off of an overpass onto Route 9. Patrols checked the area and located several rubber ducks in the roadway.

Jan. 10: A caller reported that an employee of a Maple Street business was just assaulted by an irate customer at 2:43 p.m. Patrols responded and determined that an assault did not take place and the victim declined to pursue charges. The suspect was advised that she is no longer allowed in the store.

Jan. 12: Ossining police reported a wrong-way driver traveling north in the southbound lane of Route 9 at 10:06 p.m. Patrols responded and checked the area with negative results.

Jan. 13: At 1:30 p.m., the village clerk’s office requested that a vehicle with six unpaid parking tickets at the Croton-Harmon train station be impounded. Patrols and a local towing company responded and impounded the vehicle.

Mount Pleasant Police Department

Jan. 11: Patrol responded to a report of a larceny in progress at the ShopRite on Broadway in Thornwood about 7:30 p.m. Two juvenile females, 15 and 16 years old, were detained by patrol outside of the store with a shopping cart of items. The items were valued at over $200. The juveniles are Pleasantville Cottage School residents and were transported to police headquarters. JCCA staff responded to headquarters, where the juveniles were released on Family Court appearance tickets.

Jan. 12: Police responded to a burglar alarm on Pheasant Run Road in Pleasantville about 5:30 p.m. Patrol found a burglary had just occurred. The scene was processed and the investigation is continuing.

Jan. 13: Police responded to the JCCA campus for a report of a 17-year-old female resident attacking a staff member with scissors about 6:15 p.m. Upon arrival, patrol located a security officer outside a cottage that reported a resident stabbed him with scissors. Two officers entered the cottage, located the offender and took her into custody. The scissors used in the attack, which had been discarded on the ground inside the cottage, was secured by patrol. The juvenile had been out of the facility on a pass, and when she returned, she became enraged when she felt that the door wasn’t unlocked for her to re-enter in a timely fashion. She began to throw food from the refrigerator and damaged property with the scissors in a staff office. Staff then called for the security team, and when the security officer attempted to engage her, she slashed him with the scissors. The guard sustained no injuries, but the winter coat he was wearing was sliced open. The juvenile was transported to police headquarters, charged with second-degree assault, the most serious charge, was arraigned and released back to the facility. She will have to appear before the Youth Part of County Court.

Jan. 16: A White Plains resident was stabbed multiple times while in his vehicle on Virginia Road in Valhalla about 7 p.m. The victim survived the attack. No further details were available because the department’s Detective Division is investigating the incident.

North Castle Police Department

Jan. 13: A resident reported at headquarters at 1:11 p.m. that his debit card was hacked and several fraudulent withdrawals were made from his bank account. A witness deposition was filed.

Jan. 15: A caller from Maryland Avenue reported at 8 p.m. that about 15 bags of garbage were dumped on the side of the road. The responding officer reported relocating the bags that appear to be from a roadside cleanup.

Jan. 16: An officer reports locating a vehicle bearing New York plates that is unoccupied in the roadway on Middle Patent Road at 2:09 p.m. An e-justice inquiry shows the vehicle is suspended for lack of insurance. Armonk Garage responded.

Jan. 16: An E-911 caller reported at 4:19 p.m. that an accident occurred with one vehicle down an embankment off of Route 22 The responding officers requested an ambulance and a tow, and 60 Control was notified to dispatch EMS. Armonk Garage was notified.

Pleasantville Police Department

Jan. 19: A Briarcliff Manor woman arrived at headquarters at 2:55 p.m. to report her wallet is missing after possibly being pickpocketed on Washington Avenue near Wells Fargo bank.

Jan. 19: Complainant reported to headquarters at 3:30 p.m. to state that two credit card accounts were opened in her name. Both accounts were closed but a short time later charges were attempted on another account, one for $600 and another for $1,000. Both transactions were blocked.

Jan. 20: A caller reported at midnight that several Cottage School residents were on the side of the roadway on Broadway with staff members. Units were dispatched to check and found that all residents had returned to campus prior to police arrival.

State Police/Cortlandt

Jan. 13: Police arrested Jose L. Erazo, 41, of Cortlandt, for third-degree attempted burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, both Class E felonies. At about 5:10 a.m., troopers received a call from Zio’s Italian Deli on Albany Post Road for an alarm and a broken window. Investigation determined Erazo allegedly attempted to force his way into the deli with a hammer but was unsuccessful, and then vandalized a security camera. He was arraigned in Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail.
