County Police/Mount Kisco

Apr. 23: A village resident was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop at 6:38 p.m. on Maple Avenue. The man was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a May 5 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

Apr. 24: An Albany man was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny at 4:28 p.m. following an investigation into the fraudulent use of a credit card at a business in the village.

Apr. 24: Officers responded to Pine Street at 5:26 p.m. to assist Child Protective Services with an investigation into injuries sustained by a juvenile during a domestic incident. A 54-year-old man was subsequently charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and held for arraignment.

Apr. 25: Report received at 4:24 p.m. of a woman outside village court who was in need of assistance. The woman was visibly upset and told the responding officer that it was due to the recent death of a sibling. The officer brought the woman into the Green Street precinct and contacted the Mobile Crisis Response Team to assist.

Apr. 25: A resident arrived at the Green Street precinct at 6:42 p.m. to report that he has been receiving threatening text messages and demands for money from an unknown number. The messages claimed that explicit photos of him would be distributed if he did not pay up. A report was taken and the man was advised that the matter was an attempted scam.

Apr. 26: A woman called 911 at 12:05 a.m. to report that she was being followed by an ex-boyfriend on West Hyatt Avenue and was concerned for her safety. Responding officers observed the man shove the woman into shrubbery and took him into custody. The victim further reported that the man had tried to assault her and a friend with a broken beer bottle, causing several small cuts to her hands. The suspect, a 25-year-old village man, was charged with third-degree assault, a felony.

Apr. 26: Report of an abandoned vehicle with Pennsylvania plates at the Bedford Plaza apartments on Barker Street at 8:13 a.m. The vehicle was impounded and towed.

New Castle Police Department

Apr. 21: Two Queens men stole several items from a local grocery store. The two suspects were stopped by employees and turned over the stolen items. Police responded, but the store refused to press charges. Both subjects were asked not to return to the premises.

Apr. 24:  A 70-year-old Manhattan woman was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary after she entered a residence through an unlocked rear door and proceeded to take several items. She was also charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

North Castle Police Department

Apr. 20: Report of a fire alarm on Hickory Kingdom Road at 11:02 a.m. Officers responded with the fire department, which reported a smoke condition upon arrival. Firefighters forced entry into the residence. A small fire was contained to the boiler room. The homeowner’s son was notified at the scene. Matter adjusted.

Apr. 21: An employee at Stop & Shop on North Broadway reported a larceny at 1:32 p.m. that occurred in the past. Officers responded and gathered depositions and footage. A report will follow.

Apr. 22: An e-911 caller reported at 11:50 a.m. that her stepbrother is attempting to break into her School Street residence. Officers responded and report no break-in attempt occurred at that location and the individual was a family member who was not welcome. The party left the scene without incident.

Pleasantville Police Department

Apr. 24: Report of an arrest on Manville Road at 8:21 p.m. No details were released by police because the matter is an open case.

Apr. 26: Report of damaged property on Bedford Road at 9:41 a.m. No details were released by police because the matter is an open case.

State Police/Brewster

Apr. 16: Police were notified of human remains found during excavation for a new home being built on a property in Patterson. Investigators confirmed the unidentified remains are that of a white female, likely 16 to 28 years of age with extensive dental work. It is believed that the victim has been deceased for more than 10 years. Investigators from the state police and Carmel Police Department confirmed that the DNA sample collected does not match the profile of Robin Murphy, a Lake Carmel resident who disappeared in 1995.

White Plains Police Department

Apr. 19: An Elmsford man was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property following an incident at 2 Fisher Court at 6:39 p.m.

Apr. 20: A 42-year-old White Plains man was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation at 2:49 p.m. stemming from an incident on East Post Road.

Apr. 24: A White Plains man was charged at 5:02 p.m. with first-degree criminal impersonation as a result of an incident on Oakwood Avenue.

Yorktown Police Department

Apr. 23: A 62-year-old Hopewell Junction man was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated harassment at 3:35 p.m. after it was alleged that he placed a victim in fear by threatening through an electronic communication to do harm.
