ArtsWestchester, in cooperation with Westchester County, has pulled together a compilation of outdoor concerts and performances taking place all over the county this summer. Many of the events are free, and others are affordably priced at under $20 per ticket.

A print guide was released today at a kick-off breakfast for sponsors of the featured programs. A searchable database is also available at www.artsw.org/music-in-the-air, where a Weekly Giveaway form is available to win a Picnic in the Park Basket.

Residents can enjoy a wide variety of music from rock to blues, jazz, classical and cultural sounds that span the globe. Comedians, storytellers, sing-alongs and movies under the stars are all part of the programs offered at open-air venues.

New this year are free events at The Green in the center of the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers and Jazz has become a big attraction at many venues.

The print guide is available at ArtsWestchester, 31 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.

County Executive Robert Astorino said: “Summer is all too short. We hope this guide will help [residents] make the most of it.”
