Christmas Concert:  A Christmas concert featuring a 30-voice choir, a 15-piece orchestra and hand bells will be held at 4 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 3830 Gomer St., Yorktown. The suggested donation is $10. A light reception will follow the concert. Info: 914-245-5737.

Israeli Defense Forces: A group of 15 Israeli Defense Officers will speak about their experiences from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hebrew Congregation of Somers, located on Cypress Lane and Mervyn Drive. The program is part of a 10-day visit by the group to learn about the American Jewish community. The officers were either born in the former Soviet Union or who are of Russian parentage. Free Arts Day: The Katonah Museum of Art, 134 Jay St. (Route 22) will participate in the 11th annual Arts/Westchester Free Arts Day by having no admission charged.  Tenor saxophonist Leo Johnson will perform.  Info: 914-232-9555 Ext. 0

Photographer Reception:  A reception for photographer Lev Gogish will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the gallery at the Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave. An exhibition of Gugish’s photos is being held through Dec. 30. Admission is free. Info: ossininglibrary.org or 914-941-2416.

Somers Celebration: The Town of Somers Holiday Celebration will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Town House, 335 Route 202, and the Wright Reis Homestead, located on Primrose Street, just north of Reis Park. From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., “Holiday at the Homestead,” will describe how the Wright and Reis families celebrated the holidays circa 1912. There will be various programs at the Town House, including an open house at the Somers Historical Society Museum, a gingerbread house display, photos with Santa, holiday music and a sing-a-long with the Somers Girl Scouts. The event will conclude at 5 p.m. with the Christmas tree lighting.  Info: the town recreation office at 914-232-8441.

Healing Yoga: Yoga classes for women with breast cancer are held at 5 p.m. on Sundays at Hudson Yoga, 5 Old Post Rd. South, Croton-on-Hudson. Tree Lighting:  From 4-6 p.m. the sights and the sounds of the season will bring excitement and joy to the heart of White Plains in Tibbits Park on North Broadway and Main St. Enjoy music provided by: The White Plains Youth Bureau After-School Chorus, The White Plains High School Marching Band, Eastview School Select Chorus, Taiko Drummers and The Star Performers.

Holiday Concert: A Holiday Concert of seasonal carols and songs centered around Charpentier’s “Messe de Minuit pour Noel” and including many of your favorite Christmas and Chanukah selections will be performed by the Westchester Choral Society, joined for this concert by members of the Rye Neck H. S. Chorus, under the direction of Frank Nemhauser. The concert is being held at 3 p.m., at Rye Presbyterian Church, 882 Boston Post Road, Rye, and will conclude with a spirited audience sing-along.
