Croton-on-Hudson Police Department

Sept. 28: Security at ShopRite on South Riverside Avenue reported at 5:57 p.m. that a man known to shoplift was inside the store. Patrols reported that upon their arrival, store security was engaged in a foot pursuit with the male in the parking lot. Patrols were able to apprehend the man before he could enter his vehicle. Further investigation led to the arrest of the man and a woman that was in the vehicle. Various drugs were obtained during the investigation. The woman was arrested, arraigned and released. The man was combative while in custody, arraigned and remanded to Westchester County Jail.

Oct. 3: A Newtown Court caller reported at 10:44 a.m. that he found multiple Amazon packages with different addresses in his garbage, and it appeared as though they had been rummaged through. Patrol was dispatched and recovered the open boxes, which listed Cortlandt addresses. No contact information for the owners was listed on the empty packages. A case report was to be filed.

Oct. 3: A caller stated that there was a man standing on Cleveland Drive protesting peacefully and a group of three or four people were standing in the road yelling at him. Patrol was dispatched and reported the individuals were protesting peacefully and all was in order.

New Castle Police Department

Oct. 10: A Chappaqua resident was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The driver was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in New Castle Town Court.

Oct. 11: Officers responded to a Mount Kisco residence on a report of a verbal domestic dispute between a husband and wife. Officers arrived on the scene and were able to mediate the situation. The incident was documented.

North Castle Police Department

Oct. 7: A caller reported at 4:15 p.m. that in the vicinity of School Street and Route 128 water was starting to accumulate. The responding officer confirmed flooding at the location and reported placing 10 traffic cones, closing off the section of School Street between Route 128 and Wampus Avenue. Officers subsequently reported that the listed location is clear and passable and the roadway reopened.

Oct. 8: A Lyons Road resident reported at 11:09 a.m. that two car covers were stolen from his vehicles while parked in his driveway overnight. The responding officer filed a report, but the party declined to file a deposition.

Oct. 10: Assistance was requested at the Town Hall annex on Bedford Road at 11:14 a.m. due to power strip that had caught on fire, but was extinguished. The Armonk Fire Department responded to the scene. After further inspection, one of the responding officers advised that the power strip was removed and a check of the building confirmed that no hazardous condition was deemed to be present.

Pleasantville Police Department

Oct. 8: Report of harassment on Irvington Street at 8:21 p.m. There had been an altercation at a business. The matter is under investigation by detectives.

Oct. 11: A 60-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested following a traffic stop on Manville Road at 11 25 a.m. The driver was found to have been driving with a suspended license.

Oct. 14: A Great Oak Lane resident reported at 9:57 a.m. that his car was keyed while parked near his house. An investigation is underway.

Yorktown Police Department

Oct. 7: A 37-year-old Yorktown resident was arrested at 10:46 p.m. and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, after the Westchester County Department of Public Safety executed a search warrant at an apartment on Underhill Avenue. The suspect was alleged to be in possession of a quantity of crack/cocaine.
