North Castle Police Department

Dec. 22: Report of a burglary at a residence on Hunting Trail at 5:58 p.m. Officers responded and reported observing a broken rear sliding door. Officers cleared the interior. The scene was processed by officers.

Dec. 23: A caller reported at 10:19 a.m. being out walking her dog on Greenbriar Circle and reporting a strong odor of gas in the area. Police notified 60 Control. The responding officer confirmed an outdoor odor of gas. The fire department was unable to locate the source of the odor. Con Edison was notified.

Dec. 24: Mount Pleasant police reported a suspicious male walking and staggering into traffic on North Broadway at 11:21 a.m. The individual was described as wearing a black jacket, a black and red plaid shirt and a red cap. The responding officers reported making contact with the party who refused all services and continued walking toward Mount Pleasant to catch a bus.

Pleasantville Police Department

Dec. 24: A sign was reported damaged on Sunnyside Avenue with an estimated $50 in damage. No further information is available because the matter remains under investigation.

Dec. 25: Two tires were reported to have been slashed on a vehicle parked in the lot behind the post office at 1:10 a.m. The value of the two tires was estimated at about $600. Police continue to investigate the incident.

Dec. 26: Holiday decorations were reported damaged on Bedford Road at 4:34 p.m. after the wiring was cut. No additional information is available; police continue to investigate the incident.

Dec. 27: Holiday decorations were damaged in a case of criminal mischief on Eastview Avenue at 1:08 p.m. No further information was available as the matter is under investigation.

Yorktown Police Department

Dec. 23: A 40-year-old Yorktown woman was charged at 11 p.m. with second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor, following a walk-in report of a domestic incident. After an investigation it was alleged that the defendant violated a Westchester County Family Court Order of Protection by following a victim at the Jefferson Valley Mall and speaking with the victim in person.

Dec. 24: A 58-year-old Bronx man was charged with DWI First Offense, an unclassified misdemeanor, at 1:22 a.m. following a report of a vehicle being driven on its rim on Old Yorktown Road/ The vehicle was located at the Taconic State Parkway overpass moving from lanes unsafely.
