The League of Women Voters of White Plains has rescheduled the previously canceled Candidates Forum for candidates in the New York State Assembly District 93 election “now that both candidates have accepted the League’s invitations to participate,” said LWVWP president Stephen Cohen.

Incumbent, Assemblyman David Buchwald (D) and challenger John Nuculovic (R) will answer questions and discuss issues of importance to NYS Assembly District 93, on Tuesday Oct. 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Auditorium at the White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Avenue.

“In accordance with League policy and in order to ensure that a wide range of issues are addressed by the candidates, questions may be submitted in writing by email in advance of the Forum or in person at the auditorium prior to the start of the Forum,” Cohen said.

The Forum will be recorded by White Plains Community Media for subsequent viewing.

The League of Women Voters takes no position on candidates for public office or on political parties. The League works to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
