As a resident of the Town of Mount Pleasant, one of the safest towns in Westchester, I am well aware of how important it is that our elected officials at the local, state and federal level stand with the brave men and women who work in law enforcement. These brave heroes put their lives on the line every day to protect us and we need elected officials who will make sure they have the most appropriate tools they require to do their jobs.

Recently, I read a news article about Congressman Lawler’s Community Project Funding requests in The Examiner. It highlighted that one of the requests was for a new dispatch system for Mount Pleasant’s police department, something that will help our police department respond even quicker to calls for help.

Our police officers risk their lives every day to protect us. I am grateful to Congressman Lawler for his tireless efforts to make sure that they have the resources they need to keep both themselves and Mount Pleasant families safe.
