The Pleasantville Panthers  will be playing their biggest game in three years when undefeated Our Lady of Lourdes visits Parkway Field on Saturday afternoon. That’s because Anthony Godino connected on a pair of touchdown passes to Charlie Montgomery Saturday evening and the Panthers overcame an early six-point deficit to defeat visiting Edgemont 25-12. Nick Greto ran 57 yards for the Panthers’ first touchdown of the evening, breaking away from three would-be tacklers as he neared the end zone.

Godino lobbed a 10-yard scoring pass to Montgomery into the right corner of the end zone early in the third quarter as Pleasantville stretched its lead to 13-6. The two combined on an 18-yard TD play early in the fourth quarter and then Greg Drillock put the game away when he returned an interception 28 yards for another touchdown for the Panthers, who have now won four games in succession.

Byram Hills cruised to its third win in five games this season, defeating winless Pelham 33-12 on Saturday. Two long touchdowns by Ian Raun highlighted the afternoon for the Bobcats. He returned a kickoff 86 yards late in the first half and added an 87-yard run in the fourth quarter. Skyler Simon scored on a 50-yard run late in the third quarter and the Bobcats also got touchdown runs from Connor Morley and Mike Sardo.

Fox Lane got back on the winning track too on Saturday, going on the road to crush Riverside 38-2. Chris Johnson and Joe Nickerson each scored a pair of touchdowns. The Foxes, now 2-3 as they prepare to travel to Beacon next week, also received 91 yards and a touchdown from Curtis Green.

Despite 118 yards on the ground from Dan Bassi, Westlake fell to 2-3 this season with a 17-14 home loss to Nanuet on Saturday. Trailing by 10 points as the third quarter came to an end, the Wildcats responded with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Michael Ragusa to Robert Tocco in the left corner of the end zone on the first play of the final period. But their comeback bid ended when the Golden Knights’ Christian Simonsen intercepted a Ragusa pass with less than two minutes remaining.

It didn’t take long for Briarcliff to realize it was going to be a long evening at Putnam Valley. The Tigers recovered a fumble on the Bears’ first possession Saturday and, two plays later, Alex Bronzo weaved his way 17 yards for a touchdown. By the time the first quarter was over, Tiger quarterback Mike Walsh and running back Richard Goods had each added long TD runs and the Bears were facing a 24-0 deficit. Putnam Valley scored all its points in the first half, coasting to a 44-21 victory over the 2-3 Bears.
