1. New York Botanical Gardens: GLOW

NYBG raises the bar on this year’s outdoor color and light experience, expanding GLOW to 1.5 miles. The Garden’s iconic buildings including the Haupt Conservatory and the Mertz Library Building are brought to life, glowing in the night, and the classic paths are illuminated and punctuated with imaginative new installations and plant stories. Reservations required. Tickets: $35/Adult, $20/Children 2-12, Children 2 and under are free. Beings Saturday, November 20; runs through Sunday, January 23, 2022.

2. Garden Dwellers: Sculptures by Leigh Taylor Mickelson

Don’t miss the last few weeks of Mickelson’s most recent ceramic sculptures, set strategically against the blue wall at The Catherine Konner Sculpture Park. The sculptures represent pollination expressed through almost human components, rarely seen by the naked eye. The sculptures allow viewers the unique opportunity to observe a normally silent, still phase of plant life. Sunday, November 21. Admission: Free

3. Westchester Turkey Trot 5K/10K

What is not to love about the return of the Westchester Turkey Trot? The #turkeytradition returns after a COVID-19 hiatus and is the quintessential kick-off for Thanksgiving and the holiday season for a cause. The festive, fun, and for some, competitive 5 or 10K run benefits the Hillside Food Outreach, which serves Westchester County, Putnam County, and Connecticut. Thursday, November 25.
