Nancy’s Picks: This week’s three best bets

1. Locust Grove Holiday Tours & more

(Facebook/Locust Grove Estate)

The historic Italianate mansion, home of artist and inventor Samuel F.B. Morse, was completed in 1852 features a collection of over 15,000 pieces of artwork and furniture. It overlooks the Hudson River on lush property that includes a nature preserve. During the holiday season, the mansion is open for festive period house tours. The tours kick off during Thanksgiving weekend, in conjunction with the Hudson Valley Art Market. Spend the day shopping for gifts, taking a stroll through time inside the mansion, and enjoying the uninterrupted river views. Tours begin November 26, 10 am – 5 pm. Admission $15 (paid online only).

3. HudCo Holiday Market

There is always something more to love about my beloved hometown of Dobbs Ferry. The coolest part is that it is always evolving and growing to meet and exceed the needs of the community. HudCo represents this perfectly.  HudCo is a shared space for work, fitness, health, art, and productivity. A great opportunity to experience it is at the HudCo Holiday Market where you can meet local artists, creators, and makers and purchase one-of-a-kind gifts for your friends and family. The carefully curated lineup of vendors ensures that there is something for everyone on your list. The Holiday Market opens Dec. 1 and runs through 12/2/21. Admission is free.
