A school bus carrying 25 elementary school children to Hillcrest Elementary School was involved in an incident on Tuesday morning on the Bear Mountain Parkway at  around 8:45 a.m., according to the Peekskill Police Department.

Lieutenant Eric Johansen said that the accident happened on the parkway at North Division Street, when a vehicle getting on the parkway at Highland Avenue cutoff the Miles Square bus causing the bus driver to brake hard to avoid a collision.

The driver of the other vehicle involved , which has been described as a white sedan, has not been identified.
