I was excited to learn the news yesterday of Barnes & Noble returning to Hartsdale, after closing its Central Ave. store more than a decade ago, in 2012.

Mount Kisco really took a body blow when Borders closed its doors in 2011, and I was happy to read a column a couple weeks ago in The New York Times about the broader reemergence of Barnes & Noble, and even happier to see the column’s theme take shape here locally with the planned summer opening of the Hartsdale location at the Dalewood Shopping Center.
