The Bryant – Mamaroneck Park Walking Trail located at the corner of Bryant and Mamaroneck Avenue (across from Rose Cleaners) was opened for public access Saturday afternoon.

The walking trail property, originally purchased by White Plains in 1950 to build a public library, was dedicated as parkland in 1988.

The trail features many interesting sites including an old road bed, remains of a tunnel that once went under Bryant Avenue and a stream.

Currently the trail is simply open for public access. In the future the city plans to include nature walks and other educational projects on the trail.
