nm0291349The Pepe Infiniti Concert Series presents Aretha Franklin “The Queen of Soul” at Westchester County Center, March 27.

Franklin is one of the most influential and important voices in the history of American music, with a repertoire that spans pop, soul, jazz, rock, blues and gospel. In 2009, Franklin was named the number one Vocalist of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine. It is her rich legacy of recordings that are a testament to the power, majesty and genius of this one-of-a-kind artist of the first order.

On March 27 she’ll be performing live in White Plains, singing old and new hits. “We’re going to be witnesses to history,” said WMConcerts’ CEO Irwin Kornfeld. “It’s Aretha! And, with our new acoustics at the County Center, It’s going to be a very special evening. The minute we were presented with the opportunity to produce this show, we jumped at it.”

According to Billboard, Franklin has been in the studio recording “an album of great diva signature songs” co-produced by Clive Davis, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmunds and Danger Mouse. When interviewed at his pre-GRAMMY Awards party this weekend, Davis promised that fans would “hear that voice, that incredible national treasure voice of all time” sing classic songs.
