One White Plains resident apparently doesn’t like being left in the dark.

Jamie Rose, a 22-year-old resident of a 110 Park Ave. apartment, faces menacing and criminal possession of a weapon charges after he allegedly threatened his roommate with a knife after the roommate turned out a light in the common room without asking his permission, according to White Plains police.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, police were called to the apartment on reports of a fight between roommates involving a knife. The 48-year-old roommate told police he had turned off a light in the common room so he could get to sleep. As soon as he turned the light off, Rose allegedly came out of his room with a knife and told his roommate, “Turn the f–king light off again and I’ll cut your f–king throat,” the police report stated. The two then began arguing as the roommate backed into his room. The roommate then called the police, saying he feared for his life.

Rose was arrested for second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police confiscated the knife as well as three others found in his room.
