The White Plains Library has undergone a series of major renovations to its teen and children’s library areas, making the library more tech-savvy and welcoming to students.

A gift this month of $1 million from anonymous donors to the White Plains Library Foundation, in addition to contributions from the City of White Plains and $500,000 that the Library Foundation raised, will enable completion of the first floor renovations and construction of the Hub, a new library for adults.

The new area will include room for reading, studying and collaboration, access to improved technology, new community meeting areas and a café and Friends Bookstore.

The Foundation will celebrate its 20th Anniversary at a fall fundraising gala on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The library is located at 100 Martine Avenue. For more information visit whiteplainsllibrary.org or call 914-422-1480.
