Nancy’s Picks: This week’s three best bets

1. Lyndhurst Fall Classic Mansion Tours

(Photo: Clifford Pickett)

Visit Lyndhurst, Westchester’s premier Gothic Revival mansion for a memorable, seasonal experience. Tour the first two floors of the mansion overlooking the Hudson River, decked out in stunning fall brilliance. Stroll the grounds and enjoy the falling leaves, classic gardens, hiking paths, and the dramatic Fall Reflections Installation. While there, consider the Backstairs Tour and the ascent to the fifthfloor tower with 360-degree regional views and other hidden treasures.

2. LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s “Brick or Treat”

Collect LEGO pieces at various spots, go on a spooky scavenger hunt, create your own LEGO pumpkin for the pumpkin patch display and smile for the character photo ops. This is the perfect seasonal experience for kids ages 3-12.

3. Oktoberfest at Tilly Foster Farm

May be an image of nature

Experience the quintessential fall fave at the farm; Oktoberfest Weekend.  Tilly Foster Farm reimagines the over 200-year-old classic with live music each night (Saturday features The Fast Lane Eagles Tribute Band and Saturday night features the Putnam County fan-favorite, The Nerds), a beer truck, and classic German fare including bratwurst, knockwurst, kielbasa, pierogies, kraut, corn on the cob & more. Immerse yourself in the bucolic setting and take in the colorful foliage.
