Westchester/Putnam All Stars First Team Selections
White Plains Tigers Shortstop and Team Captain Tayler Falvey was selected to the 2013 First Team Westchester/Putnam All Stars Softball Team. Falvey hit .435 with 30 hits, 27 RBI and six homers with a .855 slugging percentage.
White Plains Tigers senior catcher and Team Captain Kyle Adams was selected to the 2013 First Team Westchester/Putnam All Stars Baseball Team. Adams was also selected to the New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA) All State Third Team. Adams batted .421 with 18 RBI, 12 extra-base hits, a .593 on-base percentage with 25 runs scored and13 stolen bases during the 2013 season.
Stepinac High School senior shortstop/pitcher Skylar Mercado was selected First Team Westchester/Putnam All Stars Baseball Team. On the mound Mercado record was 4-2 with a 1.96 ERA and 49 strikeouts. Mercado was just as efficient with the bat, while hitting .364 with 22 runs scored, 38 stolen bases and 23 RBI. Mercado will play at Division 1 University of Maine next season.
