It’s time to approve the Underhill Farm project.

Yorktown’s Planning Board has provided close scrutiny of the proposal for the last 15 months, and there have been more than 25 meetings about it. Development plans have been extensively outlined. Questions have been answered. Details have been explained. The Planning Board has asked the tough questions and secured modifications it reasoned were best.

Let’s not forget: Board members are volunteers who give of their time and expertise to create a better Yorktown. They’re not only good at what they do, it’s clear that they care. And they’ve always done the right thing, even amid complex circumstances and loud public feedback.

Now, though, the scrutiny of Underhill Farm is basically complete. The Planning Board has done a thorough, upstanding job and it’s time for Underhill Farm to move forward.

Underhill Farm will be an asset to the town both financially and historically if approved.

Finally, I once again want to thank the Planning Board for their time hard work and caring for the town
