The Kensington features designed suites on five floors, with a total of 87 suites and room for 105 residents. The Kensington offers “enhanced assisted living” which means residents will be able to age in place with licensed nursing care available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Kensington will be the first “enhanced assisted living” community in the White Plains area.

The Kensington provides care for residents with memory loss in two specially designed neighborhoods. The fourth floor neighborhood is for those with early- to mid-stage memory loss while the fifth floor is designed for those with mid- to late-stage loss and is secured to enhance safety.

Health care services at The Kensington include primary care managers for personalized attention to daily needs, monthly health and wellness assessments, medication, diabetes and continence management programs; specialized diets;  on-site physician office and rehabilitation facilities; exercise and fitness programs and art classes. A primary care manager is assigned to each resident, which creates conditions for relationship-based care.

The Kensington features amenities and services including fine dining with meals attended by wait staff in main dining rooms; open seating and table linens, china and crystal; bistro stocked with snacks, fresh fruits and beverages at all times; lush outdoor terraces and patios; Wi-Fi access; beauty salon, billiard room, library and art room. Weekly laundry, dry cleaning and linen services are also provided. Residents can enjoy daily cocktail hour, afternoon tea and monthly Sunday brunch.
