The Club at Briarcliff Manor, the region’s premier senior living community under development in Briarcliff Manor, is presenting the third lecture in its Integrative Medicine Series with a presentation titled “Don’t Let Stress Shorten Your Life: How Stress Reduction Helps to Heal Body, Mind and Spirit.”
The featured speaker is Minerva Santos, M.D., Medical Director of Northern Westchester Hospital’s Health and Wellness Program. The Club at Briarcliff Manor is partnering with NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System Affiliates in presenting this lecture series for seniors to help support attendees’ healthy and balanced lifestyles. The series features presentations by physicians with expertise in Integrative Medicine, an approach to wellness and healing the whole person with a blend of conventional, alternative and complementary medicine. The first lecture in the Series, which was held March 15, featured Steven F. Horowitz, M.D., F.A.C.C., Chief of the Division of Cardiology at Stamford Hospital and Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. The second lecture, held April 19, featured Raj Buddhavarapu, M.D., of White Plains Hospital, who discussed the role of nutrition and exercise in whole body wellness.
