For far too long a compliant Republican Town Board has rubberstamped the supervisor’s empty agenda. Where decisions are made behind closed doors.

Did you now:  Mount Pleasant doesn’t release the agenda or the minutes of Town Board working sessions and these sessions a held in private in the supervisor’s office.

One-party rule in Mount Pleasant has resulted in less democracy because there is less accountability and less outreach to residents, which results in less input from residents and more runaway development.

We are being overrun with an Amazon warehouse and large buildings without any regard to the character of the community or the effect on natural open space. These changes are happening without enough input from the residents whose lives are impacted.

Mount Pleasant needs an alternative point of view in Town Hall. Checks and balances are part of the American tradition and it’s time we elected someone to check one-party rule. It’s time Mount Pleasant had bipartisan government, which is why I support Joe Bonanno for Town Board.
