Rational Debate is Needed When Discussing Middle East Crisis

Regarding last week’s three letters regarding Gaza, on this subject, I believe we are all served well by our points of view that are founded in history and observable fact. And I think it does us little good to assault our neighbors’ intelligence, good will and sincere humanitarian dismay. It’s when passions run this high that maybe extra care should be taken not to encourage voices that divide us.

None of us in our community is personally responsible for the continuing horror over there; we should stop attacking each other as if we were. If there is a helpful discussion to be had, let’s have it.
