LIFEGUARD TRAINING CLASS
Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Oxygen Administration, Preventing Disease Transmission,
Waterfront module, Text Book, and Pocket Mask. Putnam Valley Parks and Rec. is offering a Lifeguard Training class.
The class is the new American Red Cross Lifeguard training class (R. 06). At the successful completion of this course the participant
will be able to work as a lifeguard at a pool or lake.
LOCATION: ST. BASIL ACADEMY (9D GARRISON, NY)
Dates: January 29, 30, February 5, 6, 12 (3 Saturdays, 2 Sundays) March 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 (3 Saturdays, 2 Sundays)

Participants must pass a pre-course test consisting of a 550 yard swim using front crawl and Breaststroke, Swim to and retrieve a 10 pound
brick from a depth of 7-10 feet and return it to the wall, and retrieve a set of rings underwater. This test will take place on the first day
of class. Participants must attend all classes, Learn/perform all skills, Pass the written examination, and pass the final skills tests in order
to receive certification.
