When reality TV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi visited Barnes & Noble at the White Plains City Center last November, her fans packed the store, wrapping around the aisles and chanting her name as they awaited her arrival, erupting in applause each time the store’s doors opened.

On Saturday, with her enthusiasts lined up on Main Street outside the store and most of the Snooki-mania contained within the bookseller’s music and video department, Polizzi’s second visit had less the feel of a rock concert. Still, hundreds came out to get their signed copies of her newest book, “Gorilla Beach,” with some arriving four hours before the signing was set to begin.

“It just takes longer to meet everyone lol,” Polizzi, in an e-mail to The White Plains Examiner before the signing, said of the large crowds. “I would do every book store if I could, so I love going to the same book stores because it’s so much fun.”

The native of Marlboro in Ulster County gained fame in 2009 when “Jersey Shore,” a reality TV show on MTV, became a cultural phenomenon.

Polizzi, who announced in March she is pregnant with her first child, arrived at around 1:40 p.m., joined by her father, Andy Polizzi. She greeted fans, complimenting them on their outfits and thanking them for waiting.

“I’m like, obsessed with Snooki,” said Monique Cilento, a freshman at White Plains High School, after getting her book signed. “I just wanted to see how she looked since she’s pregnant.”

The book is Polizzi’s third. It’s a sequel to her first novel, “A Shore Thing.” In November, she signed copies of her autobiographical “Confessions of a Guidette.”
