The Mount Kisco Police Department teamed up with narcotics investigators from the Westchester district attorney’s office on Friday that resulted in an arrest of a village resident and seizure of cocaine.

Authorities executed multiple search warrants at the Woodland Street house of Wayne George Brown, 38, at about 10:45 a.m. Brown was charged with possession of a controlled substance and sale of a controlled substance, both class B felonies.

Officers and members of the district attorney’s Narcotics Initiative first searched Brown and found him to be in possession of 15 plastic bags each containing a quantity of cocaine, police said. A further search of the residence uncovered more than two ounces of cocaine elsewhere in the house. The warrants were issued by Village Justice Mark Farrell.

The Westchester County Department of Probation was notified because Brown is on probation for a previous drug related offense in 2008 in Mount Kisco.

Brown was arraigned following his arrest by Village Justice John Donohue. He is being held without bail at the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla and is scheduled to return to village court on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
