White Plains police are searching for a killer after the death of a 35-year-old woman, found dead in her apartment Saturday afternoon, was ruled a homicide.

Police were called to The Wellington Condominium at 312 Main Street, apartment 3H at around 12:11 p.m. Saturday on reports of an unresponsive female. When officers arrived, they found Sabrina T. Durrah lying on the floor of the apartment, Public Safety Commissioner David Chong said.

“We determined the death was suspicious and we called the medical examiner,” said Chong. “After consultation with the medical examiner, this case is now being investigated as a homicide.”

Durrah’s four-month-old daughter was also found in the apartment and was suffering from dehydration, Chong said.

“The baby girl was taken to a local area hospital, and her condition is now good,” he added.

Chong said the department is following up on multiple leads. He declined to give further information including the cause of death, saying the investigation is “currently very active.”

The police are asking anyone with information about Durrah or anyone who saw her before 12:11 p.m. on Saturday to call (914) 422-6217. All calls will be kept confidential, Chong said.
