A Bronx woman’s body was found near Mohansic Golf Course in Yorktown last night. She had been reported missing Saturday morning.

“Around 5:45 p.m. a local resident was driving an ATV in a wooded area off of the Taconic State Parkway and Route 118 when the body was discovered,” stated Lt. Kevin Soravilla of the Yorktown Police Department.

Yorktown Police responded to the scene and determined the area as a crime scene. NYPD and Westchester Police responded to the scene. The case was turned over to the NYPD.

The body has been identified as Tina Adocasio of the Bronx, Soravilla confirmed. Adocasio, a mother of four, was reported missing by her husband Edwin Coello on Saturday.

Adocasio was last seen at her home on Friday night. Coello told authorities that the two had an argument and Adocasio stormed out.

Coello has a history of domestic violence, police stated. A former NYPD police officer, Coello was forced to leave the department in 2000 because of domestic violence incidents involving his first wife.

Police have stated that Coello is a person of interest but so far no arrests have been made.

Adocasio and Coello share a five-year-old daughter. Adocasio has three older children from a previous marriage.

Adocasio worked as a registered nurse in the maternity wing at South Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, according to published reports.
