Lexington Avenue Gym Aims to Knock Out Parkinson’s Disease

The Lexington Avenue Gym in Mount Kisco will be hosting a group of speakers on Fri., Sept. 14 to discuss Parkinson’s disease with the aim of highlighting helpful information for patients and caregivers.

The speakers are Clare VanMeter of the Michael J. Fox Foundation; Gary Rafaloff, a Parkinson’s patient advocate; Veronica Cea, the director of Northern Westchester Hospital’s Parkinson’s support group and Nina Preizler, owner of the Lexington Avenue Gym who runs the gym’s Rock Steady Boxing Program.

“Please join us on September 14th for an informative and enlightening community resource program with speakers from key areas to provide current and enlightening information for patients and caregivers,” an announcement stated.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with experts prior to the formal program and printed materials will be distributed. Food and beverages will be provided by Mount Kisco’s A&S Marketplace.

The two-hour program is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at the gym’s 350 Lexington Avenue location and free parking will be available.
