Legislator Jim Maisano

Local political junkies now have another menu option to consider: Jim Maisano, the Republican minority leader on the Westchester County Board of Legislators, announced in an email blast tonight that he will be blogging regularly at
“I attended the State of the State address yesterday in Albany,” today’s blog post by Maisano states.  “Gov. Cuomo was excellent.  He presented a bold agenda to reform Albany and substantially change how the state government operates.”
The New Rochelle Republican also said the new Democratic governor of New York State “sounded more Republican than most Republicans I know. ”
“He discussed plans to create a more pro-business climate, restructure the giant bureaucracy by making it more efficient and less wasteful, reduce spending, and pass a property tax cap,” Maisano noted. “I was also impressed with his plans to attack corruption and reform the ethics laws.”
