Now is the time for solidarity within the Democratic Party. George Latimer represents the kind of party loyalty needed for Democrats in Congress. As Westchester County Executive, Latimer has demonstrated his ability to get things done and to work with leaders of both parties.

In contrast, Jamaal Bowman is part of a fringe group who stand for extreme points of view and are not supportive of President Biden and his initiatives. Bowman and other members of the squad have falsely criticized AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, as racist. AIPAC works to promote bipartisan support for U.S.-Israel relations.

As such, it endorses members of Congress who express support for Israel and actively campaigns against those who do not, regardless of race, religion or party affiliation. A review of those who have received AIPAC endorsements quickly dispenses with the false accusations: Joyce Beatty, Shontell Brown, Byron Donalds, Hakeem Jeffries and Jim Clyburn, to name some. Bowman’s lies about AIPAC stem from desperation and lack of character, but are dangerous nonetheless, especially during a time of a significant rise in antisemitism.

Notably, Latimer has received broad support from the Civil Service Employees Association and the Democratic committees of Eastchester, Rye City, Rye Town, White Plains, Pelham, Mamaroneck, Harrison, Scarsdale and Yonkers. He will go to D.C. with three decades of experience and will continue to work with both Democrats and Republicans in representing NY-16.
