No matter how well-intentioned one might think Congressman Lawler is, his party is unable to function. The Republican Party cannot govern itself. The Republican Party cannot even elect a speaker. How can we expect it to govern the country?

It is unacceptable and dangerous for the United States Congress to be without a Speaker of the House. The Republican Party is no longer the party of conservatives. It is irrelevant that Congressman Lawler has introduced many bills, only one of which was passed. Why? Because we can no longer rely on the Republican Party to pass legislation to help every day Americans. Mike Lawler is powerless because his party is sabotaging our democracy.
