New York Deli Pickle Enters DeCicco Markets

Pickle cheerleader Sudaara White, left, and Nancy Shenker, CEO of the Yonkers-based marketing firm theONswitch, greeted shoppers with delicious pickles.

New York Deli Pickle celebrated its entrance into DeCicco Family Markets with a pickle tasting at the Brewster DeCicco’s yesterday.
New York Deli Pickle is a new brand of refrigerated, jarred pickles from the Horman Family, and they’ve made their way into grocery stores throughout the tri-state area. They now enter DeCicco Markets. To celebrate the news, New York Deli Pickle is hosting a slew of in-store tastings throughout Westchester and Putnam DeCicco’s this month. At each tasting, hungry customers can sample New York Deli Pickles and learn how to make appetizers with New York Deli Pickles that could be perfect for any gathering or football party.
At the tasting in Brewster on Saturday, White and Shenker created delicious pairings for DeCicco’s shoppers like sweet Italian salami with New York Deli Pickles, sharp provolone paired with a horseradish dill pickle chip and white manchego on top of a pickle chip.
There was also a similar tasting over the weekend at the DeCicco Market in Jefferson Valley and another tasting is scheduled for tomorrow at the Scarsdale DeCicco’s.
This coming Friday, Jan. 21, a tasting will be held at the Pelham DeCicco’s between 12 and 3 p.m.
