Hudson Valley After School Network to Host Regional Meeting in White Plains

imagesThe Hudson Valley Afterschool Network (HVAN) will host its first regional meeting for afterschool providers in the Hudson Valley on  Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30 a.m. at Westchester Jewish Community Services, 845 NorthBroadway, White Plains.

The meeting will investigate how collaboration among providers can help ensure that children throughout the region will benefit from afterschool programs. The meeting will be informal to provide networking opportunities among HVAN members. Information about the New York State Afterschool Network (NYSAN) will also educate attendees on its work to advance the afterschool and expanded learning field in New York State.

Dr. Pauline Mosley, Associate Professor at Pace University will present “How to Integrate STEM and Robotics into Afterschool Programs, and Lisa Fairbairn, the Nutrition Program Supervisor from Cornell Cooperative Extension will present How to Integrate health and Nutrition programs Into Afterschool Programs.
