Heat Advisory Notice: White Plains Pool Hours Extended, Senior Center as Cooling Center
Due to the heat advisory forecasted for this weekend , the City of White Plains will keep both Kittrell and Gardella Pools open an hour later than usual on Saturday, July 7. Both pools will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Kittrell Pool is located on Fisher Avenue and Gardella Pool is located on Ferris Avenue. Residents are encouraged to come and cool off!
Note: A City of White Plains pool pass is required for admittance. Pool passes may be obtained at the Recreation & Parks Department office located at 85 Gedney Way. The office will be open until 5:00 p.m. today (Friday) and until 1:00 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 914-422-1336.
The White Plains Senior Center, located at 65 Mitchell Place, will be open on Saturday, July 7th from 11:00 am – 6:00 PM as a Cooling Center. White Plains residents who need a place to go to get cool will be welcomed at the Senior Center.
