Fourth Comes Early in White Plains

We are part of The Trust Project

White Plains got an early start to its July 4th celebration, as the city’s Recreation & Parks Department held its Annual Independence Day Celebration at White Plains High School Thursday night. Hundreds packed the fields behind the high school, with kids having fun on rides from Inflatable Party Adventures while their parents enjoyed music from Back to the Garden, a Woodstock era cover band. After the sun went down, a fireworks display by International Fireworks lit the sky. Those who missed the show still have a chance to get their fill of pyrotechnics. The Kensico Dam Music Fest will feature fireworks at 9:15 p.m. while Playland Park in Rye will host a fireworks show Wednesday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m. and Friday July 6, at 9:15 p.m.
