Crisp leaves, fall flannels, and unique comfort foods…can it get any more perfect?

Westchester doesn’t fall short of creativity, especially when coming up with interesting dishes that entice the customers to come back for more. With squashes, pumpkins, and other gourds galore, you can’t help but envision fall-themed foods. We’ve got the dishes that will satisfy your craving for the season.

Autumn Panzanella Salad, Stone Fire

Typically, a Panzanella is a “bread salad,” created with heirloom tomatoes, basils, and fresh local greens with balsamic dressing.

Owner and Chef Tommy Calandrucci just dropped a new version of this salad for the autumn season.

For this specific salad, Calandrucci wanted to use fall flavors. The salad uses homemade focaccia and multigrain bread that’s hand-teared with toast parmesan cheese and olive oil. On top of the fresh seasonal greens, there’s roasted butternut squash, seared roasted Brussels, toasted pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, red onions with burrata on top. For the dressing, he uses fig and white balsamic with a little bit of honey dressing.

Spaghetti Squash, Chat 19

Spaghetti squash is a low-carb delight that’s compared to zucchini noodles and makes for a solid replacement for pasta.

Perfect for the fall season, Chat 19’s dish features a hearty plate of spaghetti squash mixed with diced vegetables, pesto, and pine nuts in a light tomato sauce.

A great, healthy dish (that also happens to be gluten-free), it’s become a fan-favorite at the restaurant.

Thanksgiving Dinner, The Beehive

One of the best parts of autumn is that it’s the gateway into the holidays. You start with Halloween and then that leads to Thanksgiving, followed by the winter holidays.

At the Beehive, they’ve got a dish that’ll make you feel like you’re celebrating the holidays all season long.

The dish is actually called their Thanksgiving Dinner, and it is a combination of the traditional fixings you’d see on your dinner table during the holiday with a twist. Enjoy Norbest turkey, cornbread sage stuffing, pommes puree, and market vegetables.

Squash Pizza, The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges

If anyone is taking advantage of the gourds during the fall season, it’s The Inn.

Their squash pizza is loaded with both yellow and green squash, which gives a nice flavor and texture. The squash sits atop of ricotta-covered pizza dough with Sicilian and chili oil.

Although it’s a personal-sized pizza, it can be shared for the table to enjoy. (But if you keep it all for yourself, we can’t blame you!)

Pumpkin Waffle Milkshake, Mt. Kisco Diner

If you’re looking for a drinkable meal that features sweet treats, then look no further. The Pumpkin Waffle Milkshake is going to satisfy your autumn cravings all in a glass.

The milkshake glass itself is coated with Halloween sprinkles. Inside is a vanilla milkshake blended with pumpkin spice. But it doesn’t stop there.

On top of the milkshake consists of three pumpkin waffles, and then pumpkin KitKats on top of that! Lastly, a nice drizzle of caramel is poured over it, making it the perfect pumpkin pleasure this season

There’s always room for dessert. A great way to cap off our list, this is not your traditional apple treat.

Underhill’s Crossing took using apples to a whole other level with their apple spring roll.

This tasty treat contains cinnamon-stewed granny smith apples inside a sugared spring roll and contains candied walnuts, topped with vanilla ice cream and dark cocoa sauce, a great way to finish off your meal.
