Edward Faughnan

Edward M. Faughnan, a life member of the Lake Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association and Ambulance Corps, died peacefully Feb. 26. He was 69.

He was born Sept. 19, 1954, in Brooklyn to John and Mary Faughnan. Nicknamed “Speedy,” he was employed by the Lakeland Central School District as a bus driver and garage technician for 43 years.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary, Philip (Bonnie), James (Jeannine), Michael and Laurie; nieces and nephews Lauren (Robert), Sandra (Adam), Theodore, Kristen, Kim and Aidan; and great-nephews and great-niece Robert, John and Aurora.

He was predeceased by his brother, John R. Faughnan Jr.

A funeral Mass was held at St. Columbanus Church on Mar. 2, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.

Donations in his memory can be made to the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
