When going to the polls on November 6, it is important to cast your ballot for the candidate that best represents and understands the needs of your community.  That is why Nan Hayworth should be re-elected to Congress. She truly represents the people of northern Westchester and Putnam (as well as Dutchess and Orange counties).

In the two years since Hayworth has been in office, she has spent as much time in around the communities she serves as she does in Washington D.C.  She has been a fixture at most community events and knows many people by their first name.  She is there for the small business owners.

Hayworth, who was once a small business owner herself, has spent the time to listen what the residents and the business owners have to say.  She understands that it is the Main Street businesses not the Wall Street companies that make up most of the local economy. Many of these small business owners may make over $250,000 a year from their business, but when you are living in New York that hardly makes you a millionaire.

Job creation is a priority both on a federal level and on a local level. There are more jobs to be generated from small businesses than from big corporations in a tight economy and most of the jobs created on Main Street are not at risk of being sent overseas.

Sean Patrick Maloney wants to put to offer tax credits and lower tax rates for businesses that are willing to restart the manufacturing industry in the United States.  Even with tax credits and lower tax rates there is still not enough incentive for businesses to come to New York.

Right now the economy needs a jump-start.  It needs entrepreneurs to take a chance and follow their dreams. It needs Main Street to be revitalized. The local economy needs Nan Hayworth to be re-elected to Congress to be the voice of the small business owner.
