Dining Out on Valentine’s Day? Here Are 10 Restaurants to Consider

Many restaurants are offering prix-fixe menus for Valentine’s Day, including most of the eateries listed below. With rare exceptions, the regular menus, or limited versions, will also be available. Prices shown for prix-fixe menus do not include tax, tip or beverages except where otherwise noted. Some restaurants offer a special for more than one day.

12 Grapes (Peekskill). Brunch with complementary Bloody Mary, mimosa or prosecco. Begin with mini croissants with raspberry preserves, fresh fruit with Greek yogurt, French onion soup or mixed greens salad. Entrées: vegetable fritter, eggs Benedict with home-style potatoes, bacon and cheddar quiche, French toast, chicken Caesar salad, mushroom ravioli or Bordeaux burger, Swiss cheese and fries. Feb. 14. $21 per person.

Alvin & Friends (New Rochelle). Appetizers: oysters on the half shell, crispy jumbo shrimp or chicken fried steak with grits and gravy. Entrées: Honey glazed quail with chorizo cornbread stuffing, pink peppercorn-crusted ribeye steak, almond crusted snapper with spaghetti squash. Desserts: coffee creme brûlée, hot chocolate fondue or red velvet cupcake. Includes Champagne toast. Feb. 13-14. $125 per couple.

California Pizza Kitchen (Scarsdale). One appetizer to share, two entrées and a dessert to split. Appetizers: spinach artichoke dip, lettuce chicken wrap, two tortilla spring rolls, Tuscan hummus. Entrées: pizzas, Thai crunch salad, garlic cream fettuccine with chicken, Kung Pao spaghetti with chicken, Bolognese spaghetti and more. Desserts: Salted caramel pudding, key lime pie and more. Feb. 10-14. $32 per couple.

Le Fontane (Katonah). An a la carte menu. Appetizers are priced from $8.90 for a Caesar salad to $16.75 for a seafood combination of clams, shrimp, oyster and octopus. Entrees: crab ravioli with baby shrimp ($22); linguini pescatore ($24.75); butternut squash lasagna ($20.75); Norwegian salmon ($24.75); catch of the day ($27.75); filet mignon ($32); veal chop ($32); and lamb shank ($27). Feb. 14.

Melting Pot (White Plains). Four-course meal includes a cheese fondue with vegetables for dipping, salad, entrée and a chocolate fondue. Entrées: Heart’s Indulgence (Ahi tuna, pasta, garlic chili chicken breast, filet mignon and lemon garlic shrimp) or Cupid’s Combination (lobster tail, herb-crusted chicken, lemon garlic shrimp, filet mignon and pasta). Includes Champagne and a gift for the date. Feb. 14. $179 per couple.

Plates (Larchmont). Appetizers: foie gras terrine, smoked trout rillette or Robiola cheese, smoked and raw salmon tartar, goat cheese salad, oyster with Champagne sabayon, soup of mussels, clams and shrimp. Entrées: seared local skate, New York strip steak, fettuccini, chicken breast, beef burger. Cost per person varies with seating time: $60 at 5 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. with a glass of sparkling wine, and $85 with unlimited sparkling wine at 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. Feb. 14.

Red Hat on the River (Irvington). Hors d’oeuvres are followed by an appetizer (soup, salad, gnocchi, mozzarella and fennel or sea scallops). Entrées: Atlantic fluke, fish stew, Scottish salmon, French-cut chicken, duck, short rib bourguignon, New York strip steak. Dessert taster includes profiterole, key lime pie, chocolate cake, salted caramel gelato, anise biscotti. Coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino. Feb. 13-14. $75 per person.

River City Grille (Irvington). A la carte menu. Appetizers: Lobster bisque ($9), risotto ($15), jumbo lump crabmeat ceviche ($14), butternut squash soup ($9), mixed baby greens ($11), hearts of romaine ($12), smoked trout salad ($14), calamari ($14). Entrées: mushroom ravioli ($23), salmon ($26), poached chicken breast ($24), pork tenderloin ($26), filet mignon ($32), surf and turf ($42), yellowfin tuna ($28). Feb. 13-14.

Saltaire (Port Chester). Five courses, Champagne and oyster shucking lesson with owner Les Barnes. Ménage à Foie (blood orange preserves, hazelnut, apple), spiced carrot risotto. Choice of sea scallops Ramen, olive oil poached salmon or surf and turf (petite filet and butter poached lobster tail with leek velouté, charred endive and smoky pear). Dark chocolate pave and assorted petit fours. Feb. 12-14. $170 per couple.

Via Vanti! (Mount Kisco). Begins with a shrimp and avocado tartlet followed by an appetizer: radicchio Caesar salad with poppy seeds, wild mushroom bisque, beets and goat cheese, cured meats or sea scallops. Entrées: roasted halibut, New York strip steak, Ligurian seafood stew, pork osso buco, pappardelle with wild boar ragu and Champagne chicken. Dessert sampler includes chocolate cake, tiramisu and gelato. Feb. 14, 5 to 9 p.m. $65 per person.
