We are part of The Trust Project

The Carmel Town Board has approved a Watershed agreement with New York City.

At its Oct. 2 meeting, the board voted unanimously to approve a plan for the city to reimburse the town for upgrades for the Carmel Sewer District #7, which is located in the Watershed.

Following the meeting, Carmel Supervisor Kenneth Schmitt said New York City was reimbursing the town for the costs of improvements to the sewer district’s ultraviolet water treatment system.
