Carmel Board of Education Moves Meetings to New Location

We are part of The Trust Project

The Carmel Central School District Board of Education will move its bi-monthly meetings and committee meetings, which are open to the public, to a new location at George Fischer Middle School at 281 Fair St, Carmel. The location change went into effect beginning with the Board of Education’s meeting on August 31.

Changing the location from Carmel High School was in response to an increase in community attendance at meetings. The new meeting space at George Fischer Middle School offers an increased occupancy limit to accommodate more attendees who wish to attend the meetings in person.

“Our hope with this location change is to make the meetings accessible to more community members who want to see first-hand the work that the Board of Education is doing on behalf of the district,” said Board of Education President Eric Mittelstadt. “The board really values hearing from our community, and we welcome all members to attend the meetings and participate in our dedicated public open sessions.”

The Board of Education meetings will continue to be live-streamed on the district website for those community members who are unable to attend in person.
