Car Accident in Mahopac as Holiday Weekend Begins

Car Accident
A two-car accident that occured on Route 6N in Mahopac Friday afternoon.

Mahopac Falls Fire, Emergency Medical Services and Fire Police, along with Carmel Police and Medic 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 6N at the intersection with Myrtle Avenue in Mahopac at approximately 2 p.m. on Friday, May 25.

The units arriving first on the scene found a two-car accident with the drivers having only minor injuries, and the call for the medic was canceled.

First-responders closed down one lane of traffic on Route 6 and set up traffic direction. Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Scot Weber was in charge of the scene and EMS Capt. Anthony Pensebene was in charge of patient care. Carmel Police officers investigated the accident.
