You want to put on a spectacular event, but in an age where people are not only working full time but they are wearing multiple hats it is hard to find the time and you do not know where to start. That is why using Events to Remember, a premiere event planning company in Westchester, to organize your next event is a great way to ensure that you and your guests have an incredible experience.

Events to Remember, which is owned by Chereese Jervis-Hill, can help people turn their special occasion into a cherished memory without all the stress that can come with organizing a party by oneself.

“There are a lot of moving pieces involved in planning a party,” said Jervis-Hill, who was named one of 2011’s 40 under 40 by the Business Council of Westchester. “When you are not experienced in organizing a grand affair it can be really hard.”

At Events to Remember, Jervis-Hill and her team help their clients save and time and money. They also help them gain a peace of mind.

“I want everyone’s events to be fabulous, so I do my best to work with any kind of budget,” said Jervis-Hill. “My smallest package is a $500 package, that would be good for someone who is on a tight budget and is pretty much doing everything themselves, but they may need a day-of timeline and some organization help.”

The detailed day-of timeline is a thorough list of when and where everything is supposed to happen the day of the event. It is given to client and all the vendors that are involved in the event.

“We get so specific that we put what time the maître d’ should dim the lights,” said Jervis-Hill.

“My clients love this list because it makes it a no-brainer. They come to event and they do not have to think about when things are going to happen. They can just enjoy themselves.”

Making people relaxed and allowing them to have a good time it is Jervis-Hill’s goal.

“I am lucky enough to be doing something that I love,” said Jervis-Hill. “With what I do, I get to take people to a happy place, where they can leave the concerns of the world for a while. It is a destination for a couple of hours. Everyone comes and has a great time.”

Most people think that they cannot afford to use a party planner. However, you cannot afford not to use one, according to Jervis Hill. “If you are spending a substantial amount of money for a party, you really cannot afford not to have an event planner involved,” she said.

“Often people realize kind of late in the game that they need the help of an event planner,” said

Jervis Hill. “A lot of times they contact me after they have already spent more money than they should have.”

In one example she cited, Jervis-Hill described being able to save her client $2,000 at their first meeting just by going over the contract of a potential caterer.

“So often people pick a vendor and they just sign on the dotted line,” said Jervis-Hill. “This is what I do for a living; I go over the contracts for my clients and make sure they are getting what they need.”

Events to Remember helps both private and corporate clients. Jervis-Hill helps people plan their family’s mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, milestone birthdays or anniversaries. She also organizes corporate and community events ,such as holiday parties and open houses. Some of the largest events she has organized are the Yorktown and Mount Kisco street festivals.

There is really only one type of affair Jervis Hill will not do. She will not do weddings. A bride can order invitations or favors through Events to Remember, but Jervis-Hill said that beyond that she gives the bride a few names of other great party planners who can help the betrothed with day-of event help.

“Weddings are really different than any other kind of party, so it is better to have someone who specializes in that,” said Jervis-Hill. Prior to having her own business, Hill worked for as an assistant event planner for Philip Morris and planned events for MetLife.

For almost eight years Jervis-Hill has been building Events to Remember as a reputable company.

“I have built a reputation that when a vendor sees that it is an Events to Remember event they want to be a part of it,” said Jervis-Hill. “I care and it shows. Once a client uses me they come back for all other event planning needs.” For more information call 914-936-7664 or visit: http://www.eventsremember.com.
